Peter Wood to Lecture at MCW

Peter Wood, President of the National Association of Scholars, spoke at the Medical College of Wisconsin on February 26, 2024. Dr. Wood’s presentation is part of a new Presidential Speaker Series, founded by MCW President John Raymond in the aftermath of his May 2023 cancellation of the WAS symposium featuring NAS researcher John Sailer, US Sen. Ron Johnson, and WI Rep Dave Murphy.

Dr. Wood’s lecture was entitled “Academic Freedom and Academic Responsibility” and was held at 10:30 a.m. in the Dunn Conference Room at MCW and livestreamed on Zoom. The lecture will examine the ways in which those within medical education can achieve a deeper understanding of academic freedom, including what it is and how it bears on the work they do.
