NAS Members' Day and WAS Fall Symposium at Lake Geneva

Wisconsin Association of Scholars hosted NAS staff at 3pm October 20, 2023 in Lake Geneva, WI for National Association of Scholars Members' Day and the WAS Fall Symposium. Symposium speakers included:

  • A Student’s Perspective – M. Daniel Hughes, JD, MD candidate, Medical College of Wisconsin

  • Keynote Address – Prof. Duke Pesta: Free Speech on Campus

  • NAS President Peter Wood

plus updates on the defense of academic freedom in the University of Wisconsin system and the Medical College of Wisconsin, which tried to cancel the WAS Spring Symposium on May 12, 2023.
